“I believe I am speaking Thai, and you are also Thai.”

At this moment, the half-Thai youth was standing with his arms crossed, looking at the person who had come to see him with a steady gaze. His deep voice asked with a tone resembling someone who was extremely bored. But instead of making the person who was indirectly cursed angry, it made him even more pleased.

“Heh, heh, I am pure Thai. I do not pretend not to understand Thai. But even though you are half-Thai, you should understand the Thai language when I say that I like to tame.”

Shin froze immediately, not thinking he would be countered with the same type of sentence. And that made the owner of the bored expression shake it off, stand up straight, and stare at the other party with a vaguely warning hope that he would not bother him. Which made Pakin like this youth’s demeanor even more.

The first time he went to the circuit, he not only threw a circuit veteran but also acted conspicuously without fear of being targeted. This was what he liked.

Ruthless.

“The first time I met you, I felt familiar, as if I had met someone like you somewhere before.”

“There are people who look like me?” Pakin asked with interest, making the red-haired youth smirk.

“My own Phîi… you are as similar to my cousin as two peas in a pod.” This time, Shin did not wait for the other party to ask. The owner immediately proceeded to explain how the two people he said were similar, were similar.

“My Phîi likes to win. Whenever anyone acts arrogantly, thinking they are good, my Phîi will tame them until a lion becomes a mouse. My Phîi does not like anyone to refuse him, because it will make that person unable to refuse him. And when my Phîi is interested in anyone, he will not easily let them slip from his grasp. But he is despicable-hearted; once he gets them, he discards them.” The listener nodded along before laughing softly when the other finished.

“Then it should not be like me, because if I get something difficult to obtain, I will take good care of it.”

Shin wanted to sigh in his face because he might have forgotten to mention that his Phîi could always find excuses for himself. Just like the person in front of him, whom he could tell what kind of person he was just by looking into his eyes.

Deeply ruthless, and for the best, he should keep his distance, as Phîi Oat said.

“And do you know why I said you are like my Phîi?” Shin asked while pulling out his own phone to check the time, as if vaguely reminding him that he had wasted enough time on meaningless matters already. Then he put it away in his bag and looked at the person who raised his eyebrows expectantly, waiting for what he would say next.

And that made Shin lift the corner of his mouth into a smile.

“Because I do not think about sleeping with my own relative.”

Thud.

Pakin fell silent immediately. His sharp eyes glinted, understanding the meaning of what this youth said without needing further explanation. Everything Shin had said meant that no matter what he did, there was no way he would get this youth into bed willingly. No matter how hard he tried, the most he could be seen as just a Phîi.

He understood the rejection, and it was done without damaging his feelings.

“Do you know that the more you talk like this, the more interesting you become? I thought you would say something like ‘I would rather die than turn my back to you’ or something like that.” Pakin said laughingly to the person he thought was straightforward, but this was an indirect way of telling him no.

The words made Shin start to open his own bag and pull out a PSP with an annoying demeanor, while also saying with his mouth.

“I know what is what. I know when I should say what. Even though I am straightforward, I do not think to look for trouble for myself. Having a brittle mouth and cursing an influential person will definitely bring trouble later. But what else were you going to say? Say it.” His mouth said he would listen, but his hands started to open the game to play, as if the other party’s words were not as interesting as the game machine in his hand.

The demeanor made Pakin look silently for just a moment before.

Snatch.

A large hand immediately grabbed the game machine from the half-Thai youth’s hand. Shin did not complain, only raised his eyebrows to look. The young man spoke with a calm tone like someone who was starting to become displeased.

“Then I think you should know that when talking to an influential person like me, you should make eye contact.” The listener stared silently for just a moment before raising his hands to shoulder level as if surrendering.

“Khrap… Phîi Pakin.”

Thud.

It was another time that the owner of the name Pakin froze, looking at the person who called him Phîi. Before understanding flashed into his head, that respectful but fake demeanor and the pronoun made it clear that the respect was only for someone older, that was all.

“So, it is really not happening, is it?”

“I think I speak Thai clearly.” The listener laughed in his throat before throwing the game back. He looked at the person who received it and put it in his bag, probably knowing he was bored of playing. And even though he had money, it was not that a person like Nai Pakin liked to force anyone’s heart. If anyone said no, he was okay.

Whoosh.

But then, Pakin extended his hand in front of him, making Shin look suspiciously.

“For getting to know another Nong.” Even though he thought the other party had some intention, Shin wanted to end the scene as quickly as possible, so he easily shook that hand, even though he did not think of considering this nuisance as a relative at all.

“Mhmm, for a new Phîi.”

That I did not request at all.

Snatch.

“Hey!!!”

“Phîi, what are you doing with my person!” Before Shin could even finish his thought, he felt a strong pull on his shoulder, making him stagger backward. The hand that was holding the warm palm immediately separated, making him groan in his throat before freezing when the deep, gruff voice of someone rang out with displeasure. But after just a moment, Shin smiled.

Heh, Phîi, did you think you were a white knight on a white horse or something, Phîi Oat?

***

“Hey, you, that is Phîi Pakin’s car. What is he doing at our university?”

While Oat was walking in the building with his close friend while carrying a box of club equipment, Âi Sai-fah, who was looking out the window, cried out loudly, pointing down to the lower floor, making everyone frown sharply. And as soon as he moved to look, his sharp eyes widened.

“That is Shin too. When did those two become close?”

Damn it. “I warned him! Why did he not listen to my warning!” Oat gritted his teeth and muttered.

“What do you mean?”

“Sai-fah, I am leaving this to you. I have something I must do!” Oat did not answer his friend’s question besides placing the equipment box at his friend’s feet. Then he ran from the building quickly, passing the many juniors who were raising their hands in wai greetings noisily. But now his attention was more on that red-haired person reflecting the sunlight below.

One part of him knew that a person like him could take care of himself; there was no need to worry. But another part said that it was Phîi Pakin. No matter how skilled, Shin was just a first-year youth. If he made him displeased, he would be in trouble. And he, who was the one who took him to the circuit, would have to feel guilty.

There were many reasons Oat tried to tell himself, even though the image of that youth using his mouth on him popped into his mind, making him quickly dismiss it, along with the depth of his heart that whispered softly.

That youth… is mine.

What the hell are you thinking, Oat? You do not love him. Just because he gave you head once, do you have to keep thinking about it again and again?

“Damn it!” The person who was needlessly worrying cursed at himself before emerging to the lower floor. At that moment, he saw Pakin glance over at him before twitching the corner of his mouth and extending his hand for the youth who was standing with his back to him to hold. And as soon as he extended his hand to hold it, he rushed out before thinking anything.

“Phîi, what are you doing with my person!”

And he did not think about what he had blurted out.

“Hey, Oat. Long time no see.” However, his demeanor of pulling the half-Thai youth out made the other party merely raise his hand in a greeting manner. The person on this side suppressed his strange feelings and said with a polite voice.

“Khrap, long time no see.”

“Yeah, strange, huh? Around here, three days is considered a long time.” Even though he tried his hardest to prevent Pakin from targeting this nuisance of a junior, he remarked calmly, making the circuit owner laugh with pleasure and then ask a question that made him freeze.

“So, Shin is really your romantic partner, right, Oat?”

“No…” Oat almost let it out that it was not, but his words got stuck when he was carefully considering his own response. If he said no, Phîi Pakin would definitely not stop bothering Shin. But if he said yes, it was like he was joking with his own feelings that did not love him like that at all.

The frozen demeanor made Shin shake his head at the former Head wák's habit of being overly protective.

Yeah, right. Some Thai people, even if you speak Thai to them until you die, they still do not understand. I already told him I can take care of myself, and he still tries to protect me.

“It is not that…”

“Yes, Shin is my romantic partner!”

Therefore, Shin answered instead, but that made the person who had fallen silent blurt out immediately, covering the voice of the person who denied it completely. And of course, it made the red-haired youth turn sharply to look as if Phîi Oat had been hit on the head with a wrench or something, to answer such a damn question. It was obvious that Pakin just wanted to tease him.

“Sigh, even though it is a pity, you know well that I do not mess with things that have an owner.”

“Yes, I know, and I hope that Phîi will not mess with him.”

Yeah, this is fun. This is the first time I have been fought over by a man.

This time, the person who was bored at first watched to see what would happen next, thinking it was fun with a situation he had never been in before. Previously, he had only been the one to snatch others from friends, but now he was being snatched, until he could not help but think.

Why do novel heroines pretend to be angry when they are fought over by men? I think this is definitely one of those fun experiences you must have at least once in your life.

Shin thought while almost letting out a guffaw but held it back, wanting to know what Phîi Oat would do to surprise him next.

“Not now, but if you break up, I would like to try.”

“Then Phîi should not expect too much. We probably will not break up easily.” Oat replied immediately. At this time, he thought only of getting the junior out of the other’s grasp. He did not know that his own words were strongly affecting the listener’s heart, until the smile faded and the laughter was swallowed in his throat.

Heh, I still expect someone to love me for a long time, so just hearing this makes me feel disappointed.

“Okay, okay, I will not mess with your romantic partner. Actually, I came here because I have something to warn you about…”

The person coming to warn nodded. “Âi Max?” When this topic was mentioned, Oat’s already stressed expression multiplied.

“His friend told me that he holds a grudge against your romantic partner. It would be good to be careful during this period. You and I know his nature.”

“I have been thinking about this matter, but he probably would not dare to cause trouble near the university. Âi Payu will definitely not let him.”

“Yeah, just tell Sai-fah.” Pakin nodded to him and then patted the shoulder of the person whose racing skills he liked twice. But then, Oat, who saw the gaze of the person he respected looking at the junior whose shoulder he was holding, felt a prick of concern.

“For a matter like this, Phîi could have called to tell me.”

“I happened to hope to come and wait to see a certain person, and I got to see him as I wished.” Then the gaze that intentionally swept over made Shin want to sigh heavily and tell the person in front of him…

You know, the more you talk like this, the more you resemble my relative. But if you hope to tease Phîi Oat, you probably picked the wrong person, since I am not anyone’s romantic partner.

“Okay, the matter is finished, right? No one is obstructing my meal time anymore, right? Good, Phîi Oat. Please release my arm; that would be great. Thank you Khrap.” Once he saw the matter was concluded and did not want to become more of a topic of gossip among the faculty, of course, even though many people were walking past, the prying eyes were clearer than clear, until Shin turned to look at both older persons. And that made the senior realize himself.

“I am sorry.” The look in his eyes was different from usual, making Shin frown sharply.

Worried about me?

“It is alright.” Having said that, Shin raised his hands in a wai and then turned to go another way. He could swear he saw that Pakin winked at him, telling him that all that talk about being interested in him was to make his romantic partner (?) jealous. But sorry, we have only done oral, and anything more than that is not it.

Yeah, but at least it accelerated some reaction from Phîi Oat. Being treated like a heroine in a trashy novel being fought over by men is worth it.

Shin walked away, but the two young men still talked in the same place. Oat did not realize that a close female friend, Dok Khem, had stopped and watched the entire event from beginning to end with wide eyes. And of course, this matter would spread.

***

“Shin, Shin, Shin, Shin, Shinnnnnnnnnn.”

This guy called out so loudly the whole village knew my name is the same as that thick-browed cartoon character.

“Where have you been? Why did you not come eat with us?” Dear asked enthusiastically, making a face as if holding a great secret, making the person who had encountered extremely boring matters place his hand on his head.

“What is with you? Why are you patting my head again? Ouch! You fresh mushroom!” Before Dear could finish asking his friend, Shin pushed his head back with full force, making the puppy cry out loudly, holding his own neck tightly, and looking at him with sideways eyes, making the half-Thai youth shrug.

“Suddenly, I felt irritated.”

Of course, last week he was more forlorn than an abandoned dog, but as soon as Porsche indulged him a bit, he acted like a dog that overdosed on medicine.

“See, see, see, see. That is why you did not tell me. And I found out, so you are irritated with me.” Shin turned to look at his friend’s white face, which was smiling widely. Then, according to the nature of a person whose name could not keep a secret, his face told that he knew something, making the person look and only shrug.

“I think the only thing you know is the size of Phîi Porsche. You were so affected you are sulking.”

“Shh, shh, shh, shh! You damn Shin!!! You are speaking loudly again!” As soon as he finished speaking, Dear complained in a whisper, even though his cheeks seemed to redden a bit, making him turn to meet his eyes and say a few words.

“But I know you like it.”

“I-I do not!”

Really, really, I do not at all feel happy every time my friends know how happy I am with Phîi Porsche. Not at all.

“Mhmm, I believe you.”

Goose! You are making a face that does not believe me at all!

Dear could only gnash his teeth and follow his friend who walked to the back of the room and threw his bag down next to the month committee guy who had been burying his face in the desk since morning. However, he had no way of letting him off scot-free, since…

“Phîi Dok Khem said you are dating Phîi Oat. Is it true?”

Thud.

But then, Dear brought up the matter from a few minutes ago when a third-year senior had popped up to see him and asked excitedly whether Nong Shin and the handsome Head wák were dating, making him only wide-eyed and telling the senior that he did not know, but promising to ask.

Well, matters about that half-Thai guy are not uninteresting. Besides, it is with Phîi Oat!

Dear thought excitedly on his behalf, since he was no longer surprised why Shin was in the news with Phîi Oat, since he had clearly stated that he was gay. Moreover, his imaginative brain ran wild quickly, and Dear concluded his previous thought that Phîi Oat being around him and acting as if he liked him was a complete misunderstanding.

Actually, Phîi Oat came to see Shin! I am so clever, no one surpasses me!

The person who was only clever in studies told himself confidently, while also looking at his close friend with a curious gaze. He made him, who had been completely still, stare silently before sighing in his face.

Yikes, do you see my face as a spittoon or something? Sighing in my face!

Pat.

“Dear, I also think that your name is…” Then the half-Thai guy started while placing his hand on his shoulder, in a way that made the listener feel suspicious. A premonition told him that he must be teasing him again.

“…but you should not believe everything you hear from other people’s mouths. I am afraid Phîi Porsche will have to announce a missing youth because you followed someone who lured you with candy.”

Youuuuu! I am eighteen already! Not eight years old.

Dear was left gaping, looking at the person who made a face as if pitying Phîi Porsche immensely for having a romantic partner like him, until he had to complain out loud.

“You nuisance! It is not just me who heard. Sun heard too. Wake up! You have to help me choose, Sun. You heard Phîi Dok Khem say it, right, that she saw Shin with Phîi Oat!!” When Dear turned to get support by shaking the neck of the guy who was like a dead ghost, Sun, who usually knew about things before others, lifted his head from the desk and nodded repeatedly.

“Yeah, yeah, I heard.”

Can you guys not bother me? I am so stressed I could die. I fought with my romantic partner, and now my romantic partner’s Phîi scheduled a talk tonight! Please let me be in peace for a bit.

“Then ask him directly what is going on between him and Phîi Oat!” Once he had support, Dear poked his friend repeatedly, making Sun turn to look at his face and then turn back to meet the half-Thai guy’s eyes. Normally, he would have been the first to ask, but even in this state, he still knew it was impossible. Phîi Oat liked Âi Dear; why would he bother with Shin?

Therefore, Nai Athit asked with complete despair. “Between you and Phîi Oat, who tops whom?”

The question made Dear turn to look with wide eyes. The person who had to answer was silent for a moment before nodding.

“We take turns. On days I am tired, I am bottom. On days I want to, I am top.”

“Huh!!!” Dear cried out loudly, gaping, looking at the person who answered with a deadpan face, which made Sun laugh. And that made Shin say with a smile at the corner of his mouth.

“Keep this for trying, Dear. If on some day Phîi Porsche is tired, you can try it…” He said only that before pulling out his phone to play, making the puppy look at his friend left and right, evaluating whether it was reliable or not.

And just thinking about being on top of Phîi Porsche. Why do I only see the image of being shaken awfully on top of Phîi Porsche instead of… uh… topping?

The deeply thinking demeanor made Shin only smirk, looking at the person who kept mumbling about whether Phîi Porsche would allow that or not.

Under who? Yeah, but if I successfully hit on Phîi Oat, should I be top or bottom? But I have never thought about being under.

***

“Dear, you have to help me. You have to help me.”

Do you remember in the afternoon how much Sun acted like he was annoyed with me? But after a two-minute phone call, and then disappearing to talk with a stressed voice, he came back with blinking eyes and said with a pleading voice…

“You have to come meet Ryu’s Phîi with me. You have to. She said to bring the person named Dear.”

“What matter? And how does Phîi Ryu’s Phîi know me?” Dear asked while shaking his head. He knew he had a little problem (according to what he said) about the oldest Phîi of Ryu coming to see him when things were critical. Even though he sympathized, he was an outsider; what could he do to help? And that refusal made Sun rub his head a bit frustratedly.

“It is about the matter that Phîi Ryu misunderstood, following the two moons, that you are my romantic partner. When we fought, he dug up this matter to curse me. So Phîi Rarin knows your name. I do not know. You have to come with me. Do not forget that last time, Phîi Porsche was saved from the demoness’s clutches because of me!” Seizing the opportunity, Nai Athit started digging up merits from past lives.

Of course, if that day Sun had not gotten angry on his friend’s behalf and made a move to go deal with Phîi Porsche, this Dear person might have cried and drowned in a pool of tears.

“Are you repaying a favor?” And of course, this Sun guy answered with the most sincere smile.

“Yes!!!”

You say yes! I can say yes too!

Some people say that siblings often have similar personalities, but Dear would argue with all his heart when comparing his own personality with his Phîi. But with the pair of Phîi Rarin (is that name right?) and Phîi Ryu, they were similarly shitty.

“And where is the person named Pete? I told you to bring both Dear and Pete!”

So stern.

In the coffee shop, Dear had a pale face when Phîi Rarin asked Sun with a strong voice. And the more he looked at her, she did not resemble a gentle woman like her name at all, so he could only smile dryly and poke the more stressed person slightly.

“What does Pete have to do with it?”

“It is relevant. Are they not both Sun’s flings?”
Instead of Sun answering, it was Rarin who answered instead, making Dear gap and point at himself. “Me? A fling of Sun?!”

“Or is it not?”

“No! No, Phîi, definitely not! Sun and I are friends. We have been friends since high school. We are extremely close. Not flings, not romantic partners, one hundred percent!” Dear quickly confirmed with a trembling voice, shaking his head sharply, and then glancing at his friend as if to say… if I have to be with him, I would rather be with a dog from around the house. The young woman looked at him with an evaluating gaze for a moment.

“Then who is Pete?” Even though he was dying to know what Lord Pete of his friend had to do with it, Dear quickly spoke to answer because as soon as Sun opened his mouth, Phîi Rarin swept her gaze to look, making him shut his mouth immediately.

Yeah, she is more awesome than Phîi Ryu! Sun is afraid of his romantic partner’s Phîi!

“Uh, he is a friend of a friend. Why does Phîi… uh… Phîi Rarin know him?”

“Ryu told me that he saw a picture of Sun taking a photo with a person named Pete and even drawing a heart on the phone.”

Swiftly.

“I warned you!!!” Dear turned sharply to look at his close friend who now made a face as if saying I am sorry I did not believe you, making Dear think back to the day he went to take photos with the handsome lord and even sat editing the picture to make Phîi Ryu extremely jealous. Even though he is naive and stupid, in this case, Phîi Ryu is definitely jealous.

When it comes to being jealous of a romantic partner, I am starting to reach an advanced level, I tell you.

“Warned about what?” But when Rarin asked, Dear could only smile dryly, glancing at his friend for a moment. He nodded as if to say, go ahead, I will die once, you speak.

“It is that Phîi Rarin misunderstood. Sun and Pete are definitely not involved. Pete is a friend of a friend, and that day Sun had a little problem with Phîi Ryu, so he took a photo with Pete just for fun, only to tease him a little into being jealous. But I warned him not to play like this. He did not show it to Phîi Ryu. I think that, uh… Phîi Ryu saw it himself, right?” He was trying to help his friend with his life, because he did not see Sun mention that picture. Who would believe that suddenly he would get into trouble like this?

“Teasing into being jealous? Villain!”

I am sorry.

The look in Dear’s eyes when he turned to look at his friend must have been like this because Phîi Rarin said only that. And if one observed, one would see that Rarin still spoke to him using the pronoun “Phîi” but to Sun, she used “I”. This separation meant she was probably extremely angry with Sun.

“I am sorry Khrap. It was just a momentary wicked thought.” Sun said with remorse, making the listener cool down a bit.

“Confirm that you are not involved with this Pete person.”

“There is nothing Khrap. I can swear.” When he confirmed so firmly, Rarin turned to look at the other youth whom she found endearing in appearance. It would not be surprising if these two had been involved, since this Dear youth was this cute. Therefore, to clarify how she should help her Nong, the young woman sent a sweet smile.

“Dear, does Dear have a romantic partner yet?”

“Uh, yes Khrap.”

“Okay. I will believe that Sun is innocent if you take me to meet your romantic partner. Then Phîi will know that we are not conspiring to lie to my Nong.” The judgment made Dear gap and turn to look at his close friend as if to say…

Is this your romantic partner’s Phîi or your romantic partner’s mother! This time, I am in trouble, am I not!
