A massive mansion stood on grounds so vast that the person arriving by car was left gaping. He craned his neck to look at the genuine house of a rich person, which made him turn to tug the driver's sleeve, asking in an uncertain tone just what exactly they were doing there.

"I'm coming to talk to Phîi Pakin about the car. So he said if Warain was free, I could come along."

"What kind of person is Phîi Pakin, Phîi Payu?" Warain asked warily. Because the incident where Phîi Chai had helped had only been a few weeks prior, he could still remember the image of that man who had punched Âi Top's teeth out. Therefore, just imagining Phîi Chai's boss again made his spine tingle unaccountably.

"You'll find out soon."

But there were no comforting words saying not to worry, that he was kind-hearted or anything like that. Moreover, Payu's amused smile made Warain want to turn around and go home right then and there. It wasn't that Phîi Payu had brought him here to tease him at this house, was it?

"Get out."

Since they had arrived, Warain could only follow behind Payu into the house. He was invited by a maid to sit and wait in the living room, where he could only sit stiffly. Glancing left and right, he felt the atmosphere was strangely oppressive. And he was the type who wasn't good at approaching older people; he truly didn't know how to speak or greet them.

Screw it, I even dared to talk to Phîi Chai. This guy shouldn't be much more than that.

But Warain was shocked, his mouth agape, when he saw the face... of Phîi Pakin.

After hearing the stories multiple times, he had imagined that an influential person of a caliber the police didn't dare touch would be an older man who looked powerful, whom no one would dare oppose. But the real Phîi Pakin wasn't anything like he had imagined, not one bit.

Because the man who walked in... was damned handsome.

If Warain had ever fantasized that Phîi Payu was handsome, he now had to swallow his saliva, because this person was on another level entirely. But it was a handsomeness that Warain found frightening.

Phîi Pakin was a young man who looked much younger than he had imagined, probably around thirty. But that handsome, striking face could likely melt the hearts of women of any age. His sharp, piercing eyes radiated confidence and were filled with an authority that probably no one would dare challenge. When they looked at him, Warain felt afraid, unable to swoon over the demon-level handsomeness like he had with Phîi Payu.

No matter how handsome this person was, his Phîi Payu was much better.

"I apologize on behalf of Âi Chai that this time he was slow on the job."

"It's alright, Phîi. The matter is over now."

This time, Phîi Pakin turned to look at Warain's face, but the youth flinched violently.

"I will punish my man for his delayed work."

"N-no, it's okay. I'm fine. I mean, the matter is over, and Phîi Chai, well, helped us out too. So, it's fine, it's really fine." Warain refused frantically. Then he turned pale when he encountered the sharp eyes staring at him, finally being the one to lower his head evasively and apprehensively.

The other's gaze didn't apologize at all, contrary to his words.

"Regardless, I guarantee that whoever acted behind my back will face the consequences of their actions."

Right now, Warain didn't want to know what had happened to Âi Top; he wouldn't dare ask for a special episode even if paid.

The attitude of the boastful youth who couldn't actually be boastful made Payu chuckle secretly. He then turned to look at Pakin.

"My youth is scared out of his wits now, Phîi."

"I'm not a nice person, and I don't intend to be one," Pakin said without lowering his gaze one bit, stating indifferently that whoever was scared could be scared. Even if he was the junior of his favorite mechanic, there was no need to sit around looking at him fondly and wasting time. This made Payu stroke Warain's leg comfortingly.

"Grrr! Woof!"

Suddenly, Warain flinched violently upon hearing the threatening growl of a large animal.

"Hod!"

The German Shepherd, which had been staring at Warain with a ferocious look, froze immediately when its owner called its name. Then it walked over and lay down at Pakin's feet with an obedient demeanor, completely different from when it had entered the room moments ago.

"Sorry, its owner is asleep, so no one was watching it."

Warain didn't know if he was imagining it, but when the dog's owner was mentioned, the man in front of him had an expression that softened noticeably, making it worth looking at. But it was as if Phîi Pakin knew he was staring, because his sharp eyes snapped over to look at his face.

Oh no.

That was it. Warain automatically lowered his head to look at his own hands, like a frog staring into a snake's eyes. He shrank his body, clinging to Phîi Payu, his two hands gripping the other's arm tightly.

Warain affirmed one thing: meeting Phîi Pakin had scared him so much he almost pissed himself.

"No more. I'm not coming again. If it's about Phîi Pakin or whatever, tell me. I absolutely won't come to see him."

"Hey, isn't he handsome?"

"I don't want handsome like this. This is terrifyingly handsome, no question."

After sitting stiffly for over an hour, Payu finally asked to leave, which made Warain almost jump for joy with happiness. Once in the car, he sighed with relief, announcing loudly that he would absolutely never be in a situation like that again, making Payu laugh.

"He's handsomer than me, you know."

"Who said he's better?" Warain retorted immediately.

Payu himself turned to look at the person who had just been pale and trembling. In truth, he had wanted to know if, after Warain encountered this level of man, he would still think Payu was handsome. But the youth stared at Payu's face steadily, reached out to hold his cheek, and stated with full conviction.

"For Warain, Phîi Payu is the best. And don't test me by bringing me to meet handsomer men; even if you chased me to death, I wouldn't go falling for anyone else." Warain scrunched his nose at him, which made Payu pause for a moment before laughing out loud. If he weren't in the car, he would definitely have pulled the other into a tight hug.

"I just wanted to know."

"You can't, even if you want to know," Warain said with a pout. He had been scared to death just because Phîi Payu wanted to know what he thought?

The adorably sulky expression made Payu speak appeasingly.

"Well then, my business is done. I'll take you to eat, watch a movie, and whatever you want, just tell me. I'll get you everything." The listener glanced sideways at the unusually kind person and couldn't help but ask.

"Why are you in such a good mood? Your romantic partner was scared to death."

It probably wasn't because he had said that even if he met a handsomer man, he wouldn't go—he always said he'd only fallen for this one man. Therefore, the youth stared, hoping for an answer, which made Payu look deadpan.

"Well, I got to see it."

"See what?"

Phîi Payu smiled so mischievously it was punchable.

"My romantic partner's face when he was so scared he was practically clinging onto his significant other."

That was it. Warain's mouth fell open.

"You were teasing me!"

So, asking me to come along meant you wanted to see me get scared, huh?

This thought made Warain want to push the person next to him, unlike Payu, who laughed loudly and still had the nerve to state outright...

"You know I'm a teaser. And I know you like being teased."

Warain wanted to argue, but he couldn't. He could only turn his reddened face away in another direction.

No, it's not that I've caught the psycho streak from Phîi Payu after being together. But because...

"If he didn't love me, he wouldn't tease me like this."

The bad habits of a teaser—the more he teases... the more it means he loves you.

"Hmph."

Therefore, even though Warain had turned his face away towards the window, making a sound as if displeased, his clear cheeks were flushed red, visible in the reflected shadow. His lips were also stretched wide, with no attempt to hide it. Then he said in an ordering tone.

"Let's go. Today, your romantic partner is going to make his significant other broke."

And he smiled even wider.

"As you command, my romantic partner."

Okay, you could say Warain had caught the psycho streak for liking to be teased. But every time he got teased, the teaser always came to appease him as a way to atone, every single time. So, what can you do? He was fully, head over heels in love with this teaser. If it was this man, this Warain was willing to fight to the death!
