“Payu, what are you doing!” Rain exclaimed.
For the past few days, the first thing Warain woke up to was a warm embrace he wanted to snuggle into and fall back asleep. But this morning, he was roused by some movement in the room. When he reached for his personal pillow, he found only emptiness. Rubbing sleepy eyes, he blinked awake, instantly alert when he saw what was happening.
The big man, who just days ago was beaten to a pulp, was now dressing to go to work.
“Going to work to provide for my Mia. Gotta support you through years of school,” Payu said with a straight face.
“My Bpǎa pays for my tuition, not you,” Rain said, rolling his eyes and tugging Payu’s arm.
“Didn’t you say you were taking the whole week off? It’s only day three,” Rain said, peering through sleepy eyes at Payu’s sharp face, which he hated to admit looked worse than the first day. Bruises that were once red had turned green and purple, diminishing his handsomeness by more than half. And that was just what showed outside his clothes.
Underneath, it was a purple mess.
Payu might claim it didn’t hurt like the first day, but going to work like this? His coworkers would think he’d been hit by a truck.
“If I take too much time off, I won’t get to go on a trip with you,” Payu said with a sigh, intending to slip out before Rain woke. But it seemed he was too late, as Rain’s face turned stern, pulling Payu back to bed.
“So what? We can go for just Saturday and Sunday. Rest and heal first, then think about trips,” Rain said.
Once scolded into submission, Rain now took charge, but Payu didn’t seem fazed.
“But I want to go for several days,” Payu said.
“If not this month, then when I’m on break next semester. But right now, you need to rest and heal,” Rain countered, unbuttoning Payu’s shirt. No time was wasted lingering—he yanked it off before Payu could follow through with his initial plan.
“Take it off,” Rain said.
“Undressing a guy like this isn’t nice,” Payu said, chuckling, seeming to give up on going to work. The tall man flopped onto the bed.
“I’ll end up pinning you down,” Rain teased, pulling the shirt off Payu’s body, panting slightly as Payu offered no help whatsoever.
“Go ahead, I’d love for you to pin me,” Payu said.
Smack!
“Ow! That hurts!” Payu yelped.
Fed up, Rain slapped Payu’s stomach, aiming right for the purple bruises. Payu flinched, his teasing grin fading to a pale grimace, clutching his stomach and turning away.
“Serves you right,” Rain said loudly, moving to unbuckle Payu’s belt, undo the pants’ clasp, and unzip them. He grabbed the waistband to pull the slacks down, easing Payu’s discomfort.
“Lift your hips, Payu. You’re heavy,” Rain said.
But there was only silence. Rain looked up to find Payu still clutching his wound, his sharp face pale, teeth gritted in evident pain, making Rain’s heart sink.
“Payu, does it hurt a lot?” Rain asked, letting go of the pants’ waistband, voice filled with worry. Payu raised a hand as if to say he was fine, but his silence spoke louder—he was in more pain than Rain thought.
“I’m sorry, does it hurt a lot, Payu?” Rain asked, growing anxious, climbing over Payu to look at the face buried in the pillow, as if suppressing pain. Rain’s pale hands slid to Payu’s shoulder, stroking soothingly, hoping to ease the pain.
“Payu, answer me,” Rain said, voice trembling, unsure where to touch. He hadn’t realized Payu’s wounds still hurt this much. Yesterday, Payu seemed fine, doing this and that as if nothing happened. But in truth, Payu was likely in a lot of pain, just hiding it to keep Rain from worrying.
“Payu, I’m sorry,” Rain said.
“Rain…” Payu murmured.
“Yes!” Rain answered loudly, looking at Payu, who tilted his cheek to meet Rain’s eyes. And then…
Grab!
“Agh! Payu, let go! Let go, you’re hurt! Don’t, your wounds!” Rain shouted as Payu’s hands pulled him down onto his body, Rain’s weight pressing on Payu’s wounds. Rain tried to push himself up, but Payu’s iron grip was too strong. Struggling too much might hurt Payu more, so Rain just yelled for release.
“Hmm, my wounds hurt so much. But if you comfort me, I might feel better,” Payu said.
“Payu!” Rain exclaimed.
At first, Rain shouted out of fear for Payu’s pain, but hearing Payu’s chuckling, Rain called his name loudly, realizing… he’d been tricked.
If you were really hurting, would you be grinning like that? Rain thought.
“What? My wounds really hurt. Comfort me,” the sly man said softly, kissing Rain’s soft cheek, nuzzling toward his neck.
“Payu, I’m not playing,” Rain said.
“If you squirm, I’ll really hurt,” Payu teased.
Thud!
At Payu’s threat, Rain froze, eyes blinking rapidly, seeing only Payu’s dark hair as Payu buried his face in Rain’s neck, kissing heavily, inhaling Rain’s scent. Rain wanted to yell he hadn’t showered or brushed his teeth yet.
“Mm, Payu,” Rain murmured.
The touches trailing along his skin made Rain’s voice soften, his hands shifting from pushing Payu’s chest to loosely gripping his shoulders.
“No way, you’re still hurt,” Rain said.
“But I want you to comfort my heart,” Payu said.
“Ugh, I said no,” Rain said, his body softening as Payu’s hands roamed his back, one slipping under Rain’s sleep shirt, making him squirm slightly.
They’d been apart from this for days, and with each touch, their bodies heated up.
Kiss!
Payu kissed Rain’s shoulder through the soft sleep shirt, pulling the hem up to mid-back, whispering hoarsely in Rain’s ear, “But my little Rain didn’t say no,” he said.
“Mmph,” Rain made a shy sound in his throat, as his little son seemed to wake with him.
“Payu,” Rain murmured.
“Comfort me, my good boy,” Payu coaxed, pressing Rain’s small hips closer to his thighs, letting the cute part rub against the larger one. Payu’s warm lips kept teasing Rain’s ear, knowing exactly where his beloved’s weak spot was.
“Just a little,” Rain gave in, his small frame adorable as he pressed himself closer, rubbing his hips, driving Payu nearly mad.
“Not just a little?” Payu asked, as Rain looked up, meeting his eyes.
Their gazes locked—one pair pleading for sympathy, the other hesitant, fearing to hurt Payu’s wounds. But in the end…
Squirm!
Warain buried his face shyly, letting out a muffled sound as Payu’s warm lips pressed heavily on his mouth.
“I haven’t brushed my teeth,” Rain said.
“I don’t mind,” Payu said.
The cheeky man said so, and Rain opened his mouth, accepting the hot, wet touch that slipped in. His body went limp, hands sliding over Payu’s warm skin, unable to resist.
“Mm, Payu, your phone,” Rain said.
“Forget it,” Payu said.
Payu’s sharp face stayed buried in Rain’s neck, hungry, his large hands trying to get Rain to remove his sleep shirt. Rain kept rubbing his hips closer, their heavy breathing growing louder. Why would Payu care about a ringing phone interrupting them?
Even if it was urgent work, forget it—he was on leave.
Finally, the phone went silent, and Payu flipped Rain onto his back on the bed.
“Payu,” Rain said, raising his hands to signal a hug. The big man pressed close, indulging Rain, though…
“Shit-lizard!” Payu cursed in a strong voice.
“Answer it first?” Rain asked.
“Forget it,” Payu said dismissively, focused on something far more interesting.
“Ah, ahh…” Rain moaned.
Soft moans escaped Rain’s vibrant lips as the phone went silent, giving Payu the chance to touch Rain’s small frame to his heart’s content. But…
Bang!
“Hey, Payu! Phra Phai called and said… uh,” Sai-fah’s voice rang out.
Suddenly, the bedroom door swung open by the hand of the house’s other occupant. Rain, on the bed, flinched, turning to see Sai-fah’s stunned face.
“Uh, am I interrupting?” Sai-fah asked.
“Even if you’re my brother, I could kill you!” Payu roared.
Warain, lying limp, gazed at Payu’s sharp face with fascination. Payu’s so damn cool when he’s all wild like this, Rain thought. He wanted to give himself to Payu right then, if not for the… interruption.
The thorn in their side, grinning mockingly, hurried to explain before Payu really killed him.
“Phra Phai called you, but you didn’t answer, so he called me. I get why you didn’t pick up. Alright, alright, no need for that glare. Phra Phai’s on his way to visit you…” Sai-fah said.
“No way!” Payu said in a low voice, barely hiding his irritation.
“Too bad, big brother,” Sai-fah said, shrugging, because…
Ding-dong!
“He’s at the gate,” Sai-fah said.
“Bloody fucking cur!” Payu cursed again, wanting to chase out his damned nuisance friend who came at the worst time. It was still early morning—who was ready for guests? But since it was Phra Phai, he wouldn’t leave easily. Best to let him visit and then kick him out.
Yeah, once he’s gone, Sai-fah will head to work. Perfect—no more pests! Payu thought.
Payu didn’t notice how dreamily Rain looked at him. Though Payu’s face was bruised, his physique was still intact. The bruises only added to his rugged charm, especially shirtless with his work pants unzipped low. That fierce look hit Rain’s heart, making him flush hotly.
“Don’t make that face, Rain,” Payu said.
Gasp!
Rain, unaware of his expression, flinched, covering his face. He didn’t want to admit it, but Payu’s stern look made him even less eager to greet their guest.
Who’s Phra Phai? I only know Payu, my Phûa! Rain thought.
Rain jumped up, heading straight to the bathroom to calm himself, or Payu would know what almost happened.
“I’m off to work. You guys talk nice—don’t kill each other,” Sai-fah said.
Sai-fah left with a parting tease, winking at Rain, leaving Phra Phai, who’d brought a fruit basket to visit, confused. The patient didn’t seem thrilled to see him.
“When are you leaving?” Payu asked curtly.
“I just sat down,” Phra Phai said, unfazed, scanning his friend.
“Your wounds aren’t that bad. Sai-fah made it sound worse,” Phra Phai said.
“Not bad? You call this not bad?” Rain, sitting nearby, asked in disbelief.
“Sai-fah said you were beat to a pulp. I thought broken ribs, dislocated arm, something like that. But you look pretty intact,” Phra Phai said, chuckling, as Payu shook his head.
“Alright, you’ve seen me. You can go,” Payu said, not sparing Phra Phai’s feelings.
“I just got here. Not even a glass of water for your guest?” Phra Phai said.
“I’ll get it,” Rain offered, jumping up.
“No need. I’ll get it for him,” Payu said, stopping Rain, heading to the kitchen to pour water, serve it, and urge the uninvited guest to drink and leave.
“Am I interrupting something?” Phra Phai asked uncertainly, confirmed when Rain clutched a pillow tightly, hiding his flushed face.
“No, interrupting what? Nothing,” Rain said.
Rain’s denial gave Phra Phai a clear answer.
“Okay, let’s get to it,” Phra Phai said.
“Hmm?” Rain asked, covering just his nose with the pillow, round eyes peering curiously, as Phra Phai didn’t seem here just to visit Payu.
“That friend who went to the race with you—what’s his name?” Phra Phai asked, making Rain pause until Phra Phai clarified.
“The time you were chased by security,” Phra Phai said.
“Oh! Sky. Why?” Rain asked, confused, not imagining these two would know each other.
“Sky, huh?” Phra Phai said.
Nice name, Phra Phai thought.
“I want his number,” Phra Phai said, sensing Rain’s suspicion as Rain narrowed his eyes. Phra Phai flashed a sincere smile, speaking in a pleasant tone.
“Did Sky tell you I got him out of that event? He left something with me, and I want to return it myself, not through you. So, can I have his number?” Phra Phai explained at length, circling back to his main point.
Rain hesitated.
Should I ask Sky first? Rain thought.
Crack!
“Here, drink and go,” Payu said, setting a glass of water in front of Phra Phai, arms crossed, urging him. But Phra Phai didn’t touch the cold glass, still looking at Rain pleadingly.
Rain admitted the pressure wasn’t from Phra Phai but from Payu. It seemed Phra Phai wouldn’t leave without that number.
Sorry, Sky. I’ll treat you to snacks as an apology, Rain thought.
“Alright, his number is…” Rain said.
In the end, Sky’s number ended up in Phra Phai’s hands.
Grab! Gulp gulp!
“Okay, I’m out. Get well soon,” Phra Phai said, memorizing the number, downing the water, setting the glass down, and standing energetically. He wished Payu well and walked out, swinging his car keys, in high spirits. Rain wondered if he’d made a mistake.
If it’s just returning something, why’s Phra Phai so excited? Rain thought.
Rain considered calling Sky to warn him, but all thoughts vanished when Payu returned after locking the gate.
“Hey, Payu, hold on. Let me call Sky first,” Rain said.
Too late—Payu grabbed Rain’s wrist, dragging him back to the bedroom as Rain protested… weakly.
What could he do? He was just as eager.
“No more interruptions,” Payu said.
Thud!
But Payu, standing by the bed, was surprised. Instead of pushing Rain down, Rain’s pale hands pushed Payu’s chest, making him sit on the soft mattress. Payu’s eyes widened as Rain quickly stripped off his own T-shirt.
“And you think I’d let anything interrupt us?” Rain asked.
Rain climbed up, straddling Payu’s thighs, arms around Payu’s neck, voice husky.
Their eyes locked, and… a passionate kiss began.
Neither yielded in the kiss. When Payu advanced, Rain responded; when Payu retreated, Rain pursued, hungrily sucking Payu’s soft tongue. The sound of their kisses echoed in their heads. Rain’s pale hands grabbed Payu’s shirt again, not to stop him from working but to remove it for something else entirely.
They pulled apart slightly, tossing Payu’s shirt to the bed’s edge.
Pant, pant, pant. The heated kiss left Rain breathing heavily, pushing Payu to lie flat.
“You’re hurt. I’ll take care of it,” Rain said.
Rain’s small frame spoke huskily, peppering kisses across Payu’s broad chest, hungrily sucking the dark peaks, tongue circling the base, lightly pulling. As Rain ground his full hips against Payu’s prominent bulge, heavy rubbing drew low moans from Payu, his body burning like it was on fire.
Grab!
Though letting Rain lead, Payu didn’t stay idle, squeezing Rain’s soft backside firmly, making Rain tremble with heavy breaths. Rain reached for lotion and a condom from the bedside drawer.
“Lift your hips,” Payu whispered. Rain complied, letting Payu pull his pants below his hips, slipping lotion-slicked fingers into the tight passage.
Rain flinched hard.
“Ah, mmph,” Rain moaned, kissing Payu’s lips again, muffling sounds in his throat, feeling the long fingers press inside, sending shivers.
As Payu’s fingers stoked the flames of desire, Rain moved his hips to take them deeper, no longer painful like the first times. On the contrary, it wasn’t enough.
“I’m dying to have you!” Payu roared.
The tight grip inside made Payu’s eyes blaze, scattering Rain’s senses.
“Then take me, Payu,” Rain said.
Rain slid down between Payu’s thighs, not needing to remove everything—just freeing the large part from the pants. He grabbed a condom but didn’t use his hands. Rain… put it in his mouth!
“You don’t have to do that,” Payu said.
“No, I will,” Rain mumbled, positioning his lips over the heated part, using his tongue to nudge the condom into place. Though he’d never done it before, Rain focused on sliding it on with his mouth, driving Payu nearly powerless.
Payu’s head fell back on the pillow, panting heavily, as Rain’s inexperience nearly killed him.
“So hard!” Rain muttered, frustrated, using his hands to finish putting it on, then crawling back up.
“Come here, you little troublemaker,” Payu said, pulling Rain’s arm until their chests collided, about to kiss.
“My mouth smells like rubber,” Rain said.
“I like any smell on you,” Payu said, pressing his lips to Rain’s full ones, uncaring. He only knew he wanted to possess this little one, mark him, body and soul, to show who owned him entirely.
“Gasp! Mmph! Ahh!” Rain cried.
Rain clung tightly to Payu’s neck, flinching as Payu’s large hands gripped his hips, slowly but deeply pushing the large part inside. Tears streamed down Rain’s face, sensations overwhelming as he moaned.
Payu was the one to touch the deepest parts of him.
“Ha, Payu, Payu,” Rain moaned.
Rain’s trembling voice called out, his small hips rocking to meet the fiery rod, unable to stop himself, only wanting more, wanting to make Payu as happy as he felt.
“Rain, my Rain,” Payu said.
The more Payu called his name, the more Warain couldn’t bear it.
The sound of flesh meeting flesh echoed through the wide room, mingling with the rustle of bedsheets, the bedframe’s legs hitting the floor with thuds, fueling their passionate desire to its peak.
Heated kisses happened again and again, sweat dripped and mingled, indistinguishable. The musky scent of desire filled the room, urging both to express love through their bodies. Each other’s names spilled from their lips without pause.
“I can’t… Payu… I can’t… ugh, I’m gonna…” Rain gasped.
“Let go, Rain. Let go. No matter how many times, I’ll make you finish,” Payu said in a heavy voice, thrusting in as his large hand stroked Rain’s cute part in sync. Rain tilted his head back, staring at the ceiling through tears, breaths rapid as the end drew near.
“My love,” Payu said.
“Mmph, ugh!” Rain cried.
Spurt!
Rain moaned loudly, releasing onto Payu’s stomach, biting his lip, body shuddering but still moving, feeling Payu was close too.
Rain didn’t tell Payu, but he finished because of the word… love.
“You’re my love too,” Rain said.
Likewise, Rain felt Payu’s shudder inside, roaring by his ear, cheek pressed to Rain’s sweat-dampened one, releasing completely.
Their heavy breathing echoed through the wide room.
Whispering softly.
As they calmed, Payu flipped Rain to lie flat on the bed, his large hand gently brushing hair from the exhausted boy whose chest heaved. Payu couldn’t resist leaning down, nose nuzzling Rain’s soft cheek.
“I can’t escape this storm,” Rain said.
The storm wasn’t the weather but the big man who’d turned his world upside down since they met.
“I won’t let you escape this storm either,” Payu said.
Payu replied in a soft voice, giving a sweet kiss as a reward, which Rain accepted willingly.
Yes, the little rain couldn’t escape the big storm.
A storm named… Payu!
