Sky did not cry, and he did not lament; there was no sign he had been drugged, only a few words that escaped his lips asking if he could belong to just one person.
But that made Phra Phai lose his sanity completely.
He was not angry at the person who had seen the image with his own eyes suggesting infidelity; his heart commanded him to do this.
"You damned-animal mob!!!"
Who else but them! He did not know what had happened in this room, but one thing he knew for certain was that the youth was suffering; it showed in both his tone and his gaze. Even without tears, the heart of the listener was nearly breaking.
And the people who did these things would be...
Phra Phai had always wondered what happened in Sky's previous relationship, but this time he did not need to know what the bloody fucking happened. What was certain was that it made the person he loved have an expression like he could die at any minute. Therefore, the young man turned sharply, let the slender figure lie on the bed, and rushed straight towards the person who was making a move to slip out of the room.
Thwack!!!
The young man slammed his fist hard with full force into Gun's face, something the other party also did not expect, until he collapsed heavily onto the floor. But Phra Phai was still not satisfied. The more he saw Sky's expression, recalling Sky's wary demeanor from before, or the day Sky told him they should break up but was in agony, he could guess it was because of these fuckers. He did not know what that shit-lizard Gun had done, but it had left a vicious, severe wound on the heart of his Mia!
"You did this to my Mia, didn't you? Was it you?!"
"No... Ouch! He tempted me himself! That shit-lizard tempted me himself!!" Gun tried to defend himself with all his might, but how could he fight the strength of a large, enraged man? And the more he made excuses, the more furious Phra Phai became. No one knew how many punches he slammed, full force, into its face, ignoring the nosebleed flowing from its nose, its split, battered mouth. He cared only about making it suffer more than Sky had ever felt!
"Stop it, hey!"
Phet came in and pulled Phra Phai away from his friend, but that moment called for a fist that slammed into Phet's jaw instead. However, it gave Gun an opportunity to lunge and grab his mobile phone, then hold it up at the moment Phra Phai turned back again.
"You have to believe me, that Sky is more of a slut than you think; he's done it with three people at once before!"
Gun opened the image he had just shown Sky for Phra Phai to see, no longer caring about saving it for leverage later.
They had not thought Phra Phai would follow so quickly, because the race event wasn't even over yet, and it was well known that Phîi Phai hardly ever left an event early unless it was truly urgent. Before the event even ended, he had taken that Sky several rounds, and even dragged him elsewhere before Phra Phai even knew about it.
Gun himself had intended to use those pictures to bargain with Sky later, but he hadn't expected that instead of the people called to gang up on Sky arriving, the room's owner showed up with a furious expression. And what the fuck was that! Just that Sky said he couldn't have just one person was enough to make Phra Phai this enraged?
The image that made Phra Phai freeze, he snatched it to look at closely, staring at the picture of Sky smiling for one man and being penetrated from behind by two other men simultaneously.
"See... do you see? That Sky is a slut; he invited me himself; he acted for you to believe he was a good youth. I used to believe him too, before," Gun hurriedly said while blood gushed from his nose, sneering under his hand when he saw Phra Phai go still.
There was blatant evidence; who wouldn't believe it?
But...
Crash!
Not only was the mobile phone thrown to the ground, Phra Phai also stomped the tip of his shoe on that phone until it was crushed underfoot. Then that pair of eyes swept back to Gun again, his voice coldly ordering.
"That shit-lizard, I'll give to you, but this shit-lizard, let me handle it myself."
"Aaaahhhh!"
With Phra Phai's command to Payu finished, the tall figure grabbed the ring on Gun's eyebrow, his other hand locking its head, and yanked it out with full force, until Gun howled in pain. The flesh tore along with the silver ring that came out of the meat; fresh red blood flowed down, bathing one cheek. But Phra Phai was still not satisfied. He was so angry he could kill someone now!
Meanwhile, Payu himself understood that what his friend meant was to not interfere; even if he really killed that youth, don't interfere.
Not just the eyebrow ring, Phra Phai grabbed Gun's head and slammed it against the wall, ignoring the curses, the pleas, the begging to stop, and the confession that it did it itself, Sky didn't tempt it, it was the one who told the staff to call Rain, it did everything. But the more he listened, the angrier Phra Phai became. Even as that figure slid down to collapse on the floor, its face smeared with blood until its original face was unrecognizable, he still kicked it in the midsection.
"You did this to my Mia! You did this to my Sky! I won't let you go, you damned-animal!!!"
No one knew how many times Phra Phai kicked it until it was almost no different from a piece of meat that was still breathing, but he still felt it wasn't enough... not enough compared to the torment Sky was receiving.
What did it do to make Sky have an expression like someone who had died like that? What the fuck did it do!
"Âi'Sky, look at me. Do you see me? That Sky, look at me."
Rain's voice, who had gone to support his friend, trying to call out, pulled Phra Phai's consciousness back once more. No, his brain still wasn't working; only his body moved to replace him, pushing Rain away, holding and embracing the person who still lay motionless as before, eyes open staring at the ceiling, lips pressed tightly together, pupils trembling but devoid of tears.
"Sky, look at me. Good person, look at me."
That pair of eyes did not even look at him.
Phra Phai felt the person in his embrace was crying, but there were no tears, as if Sky was swallowing the pain inside.
Two bloodstained hands tenderly held the youth's face, forcing that pair of eyes to look at him.
"If it's tormenting, cry it out. I am right here. I will wipe your tears myself. cry it out."
He said with a gentle tone, even though his heart was aching for the person who was enduring.
Phra Phai had once thought Sky was someone who found it hard to cry, that no matter what, he wouldn't cry; even when they were clearing up misunderstandings, he didn't cry. But this time he thought differently. Suddenly, he thought that Sky wouldn't cry because he was keeping it inside, letting his heart flood with tears, and dying like that. So he pleaded with a trembling, broken voice.
"Cry it out, Sky. Don't keep it to yourself. I am right here, good person. Right here."
There wasn't even a movement; Sky just looked straight at him, lips still pressed tight and trembling, his expression tormented like a drowning person, unable to breathe, still refusing to move. And that...
"I order you to cry it out!!!"
The large man shouted at the top of his voice, ordering the person in torment to finally let it out. But...
Sob sob sob
"I beg you, cry it out. Let me know how much Sky is suffering. Let me help. Let me..."
It turned out to be Phra Phai himself who was shedding tears. Clear drops flowed over his cheeks, the tip of his chin, then dripped onto the bloodstained cheek, dripping repeatedly with no sign of stopping, while his deep, trembling voice was both pleading and begging, trying every way to enter this heart, to be the person this youth trusted, and would allow to release what had been stored up.
"I will never give Sky to anyone. Do you hear me? Never..."
That pair of eyes blinked slowly, and then the person who hadn't said anything after saying not to give him to anyone asked with a trembling voice.
"Why is Phîi Phai crying?"
"Because Sky isn't crying. If Sky can't cry, I will be the one to cry for you. If Sky is tormented, I will be tormented too. If Sky is in pain, I will be in pain together. Let me be that person who does it for Sky."
He wanted to take this youth's pain as his own. He would do everything; he would hurt instead, be tormented instead; anything Sky couldn't handle, he would take it all upon himself.
And that made Sky say in a faint voice, "Even if I cry to death... nothing will get better...."
"It will get better. Believe me. Everything will get better. I will be right here, by your side. I will take care of Sky myself." He affirmed with a firm voice, his face smeared with tears, and his eyes burned even more fiercely when the youth in his embrace had reddish eyes, and then clear drops... began to flow slowly.
"Hic!..."
Sky began to cry, his body trembling, and the force of his sobs increased.
"Hic! Ugh! Phîi Phai, Phîi Phai."
The tight embrace, from the sobs, was changing into a call, and then the tears that had fallen slowly gushed out like a broken dam. The person who lay still as if uncaring about anything anymore raised both hands, letting Phra Phai pull him into the embrace.
"Phîi Phai, don't abandon me. Don't give me to anyone. Hic! Ugh! Please don't. Love me. Please love me... love me... Hic! Please! Phîi Phai." The youth gripped the back of his shirt tightly.
"Of course. I love Sky. I won't give Sky to anyone. No way."
That made the person who had stored the pain all along cry it out loudly.
This was the first time since the incident years ago that Sky had truly poured out his sorrow and had truly opened his heart to let someone in.
The man who would love and protect him like no one had ever done before.
***
"I leave it to you mob to handle."
"Go ahead. We'll handle things on this end."
After comforting Sky until he had calmed down, Phra Phai proceeded to wrap his youth securely in a blanket, picked him up holding him close to his chest, swept his gaze around the room he had ignored for a moment, and found Warain sitting crying, pitying his friend, not far away. That Payu was managing to restrain that shit-lizard youth with the hole in his eyebrow who had passed out, and Phet who was moaning in pain at his feet.
"I'll go with you."
He wanted his friend not to worry. "It's okay, Rain; I can take care of Sky," Phra Phai refused the person who quickly got up to follow, shaking his head, tightening his hold on the person who pressed closer to him. But Sky still turned to look at his close friend, the same person who, no matter what happened, would not...
"I am okay."
"But... alright. But after this, you have to tell me everything."
Sky nodded, then closed his eyes wearily, no longer thinking of hiding anything.
Once they had agreed, Payu called out to him.
"Take my car keys with you." When he came, Phra Phai came on his big bike, but in this condition, Sky couldn't possibly ride it. So he was more than willing to take the car keys from his friend, not wanting his loved one to stay in a room with these despicable-people a minute longer. Then he went out the front of the room and finally encountered...
"Phîi Chai."
A handsome man with a terrifying aura... the close subordinate of the race event's owner.
Phîi Chai came with many subordinates, and what was even more surprising was that his subordinates were restraining several teenagers.
"Earlier, they said more people were coming, so I was afraid we wouldn't have enough. When I called Phîi Chai, he happened to be around here." Sai-fah winked, making a proud face that he was so clever. But this time Phra Phai gave him credit, because he himself was too angry to think of anything, so he just nodded in thanks instead, then turned to tell Phîi Chai.
"If it's not too much trouble for you, please handle those two guys in the room heavily for me. Consider it a favor to me. Then, whoever you want me to race against, I'll do it all. I won't refuse."
If he raced, it involved betting money, which the event owner would also get, and Phra Phai was prepared not to take a single baht, not argue a single word, ready to do everything as ordered by Phîi Chai's boss, just as long as those two shit-lizard youths were dealt with to the utmost!
And the skill of Thai mafia subordinates was certainly better than his.
"I'll see to it then."
Even though he said it like that, it was an implicit acceptance of the agreement.
That was enough for Phra Phai to feel reassured enough to hurry and take Sky away from here as fast as possible.
Phra Phai had left, but Warain had just wiped his tears.
"You shit-lizard fucker! You did this to my friend, you used me, didn't you, you damned-animal!!!" The small-framed person who seemed delicate and in need of care, but whose personality was much stronger than Sky's, rushed in and kicked Phet several more times, not hesitating to stomp the sole of his foot down right in the center of the heart of the person who had already passed out, until Gun had to wake up and receive the most extreme pain.
"You mob did this to my friend, so don't even think about using him!!!"
This time, Payu himself did not stop him, because it looked like his petite romantic partner was not going to cool down easily.
Of course, even he felt sorry for that youth, so how could Rain, who was Sky's close friend, be willing to stop? It seemed that before this matter reached Chai's hands, these two would likely be rendered impotent by Warain's feet first.
***
At half past three in the morning, Phra Phai brought his loved one back to the large house. He stopped to tell Praiphan, who was still studying for her exams, not to wake anyone; he didn't want his parents to wake up and fuss over Sky's current condition. His younger sister agreed, watching them go with a concerned look but without fuss. He himself had no time to pay attention to anyone more than the person in his embrace, whom he placed on the bed with the utmost care.
However, when he tried to pull away to wash his bloodstained body, his arm was grabbed first.
"I'm going to take a shower. My hands are covered in the smell of blood."
When he said that, the youth got up to follow, clinging to him all the way to the bathroom with an uneasy expression, until he had to ask.
"Shall we shower together?"
The person who had always refused nodded.
They really just showered. Phra Phai washed the face and eyes for Sky, whose face was smeared with blood from his palm, took out the ring worn on his nipple with hatred for it, soaped, and washed Sky's body. Sky himself soaped up the young man. But it wasn't a feeling of titillation or arousal to do something more heated; it was just the closest, most trusting touch of each other's bodies.
Even after showering and drying each other off, he brought him to sit on the bed, but once again...
Snap!
"I'm just getting clothes to wear. Don't worry. I'm not going to abandon you anywhere." Only that made Sky willing to let go of the hand gripping his arm; his gaze looked calmer.
Phra Phai turned to put on clothes quickly, then brought some back for his loved one, who took them and put them on without a single word of complaint.
Once ready, Phra Phai did not hesitate to pull the other into a tight embrace, stroking his head to comfort him that the terrible thing was over, that nothing else would happen, and that he was right here, not going anywhere.
The young man heard the heart of the person nestled close to him gradually calm down, until the anger and torment from earlier subsided greatly.
Seeing Sky get better, he himself got better too.
"Phîi Phai."
"Hmm?"
Sky's voice was still hoarse from crying heavily, his eyes still swollen and bruised until Phra Phai had to gently massage his temples.
"Aren't you going to ask what happened?" His youth seemed to have regained his senses, but the flickering eyes that still looked frightened made Phra Phai hesitate.
Did he want to know? Of course he wanted to know. He might vaguely guess everything, but he wanted to know every detail of what happened.
Not to mention that fucking image..... I should have made its teeth fall out!
Just thinking about it made his sharp face fill with hatred, wanting to rush back and deal with those fuckers again.
"It's okay. We can wait until the day Sky is ready."
Phra Phai didn't care whether Sky had willingly slept with three men or not, because he himself had been through a lot before meeting this youth. But more than half his heart was sure it wasn't true; Sky hadn't done those things willingly. He, who had pursued him for months, knew that much better.
And even if he had been willing, there must have been a necessary reason.
Phra Phai realized just how much he trusted the person in his embrace; call him a dim-wit, he accepted it.
"Then it might as well be today." The hoarse voice called for his attention again.
Sky forced a smile, his expression looking weary but still insistent.
"I'm afraid if I don't tell it today, I won't have the courage to tell it again." The young man took a deep breath, after which the story from his high school years poured out of his mouth as if he had been pent up for a long time. Starting from when he first entered high school, encountered new environments, met that eyebrow-piercing fucker... Sky spoke calmly, sometimes trembling, but it was the listener who could hardly bear it when he heard what had been done to this youth.
He was bullied until he couldn't go to school, had sex until he was injured, not to mention being tricked into being gang-raped, and the most fucking shit-lizard thing was that damned nuisance sat and watched while Sky was being treated like that!!!
Phra Phai was so angry steam came out of his ears, so angry he really wanted to go back and kill it for real.
"Calling it a shit-lizard is still feeling sorry for the shit-lizard! Damned-animal!!!"
He didn't think a person could be this evil, and to do it to this youth. Phra Phai could imagine how innocent and pure Sky was back then; even now he knew that Sky, who tried to block himself off, was actually clingy, prone to loneliness, and needed care. So what about back then?
If it were me, I would take good care of you; I wouldn't let you cry. If it were me...
Phra Phai was full of the words "if it were him," while holding the slender figure tighter, clutching him close to his chest, telling him through touch how much he loved him.
"Back then, I was completely broken. Even though I went back home, I was like a broken doll. I stopped crying because crying didn't help me. No matter how much I tried to beg and plead, he never took pity; it only made me more pitiful." Sky narrated, but the listener was already dying of heartbreak for him.
"And how did Sky get back up?"
This was the first time the youth truly smiled; it was a tired smile, but not sadness, not a forced smile.
"Phîi Phai, have you ever had a first love as a celebrity you liked, a cartoon character you read, something like that?"
Phra Phai shook his head; he wasn't sure if he had ever had feelings like that. Then Sky continued.
"I have, Phîi Phai. When I was young, my Mâe really liked a certain leading man. I watched him too, following my Mâe. Thinking about it now, that leading man might be the one who made me realize I liked men. But as I grew up, I forgot about it. Until the time I went back home to Lopburi, my Phô didn't want me to stay quiet. He thought my problem of not talking, not going to school, stemmed from my Phô and Mâe's decision to break up. I heard them argue for years before coming to study in Bangkok again. You could say I was a youth with problems." Sky leaned his head against his chest, holding Phra Phai's waist tightly.
"To this day, my Phô still doesn't know that I was so depressed because I was raped." The narrator fell silent for a moment, then returned to the original topic.
"Back then, all I could do was sit still, let the TV watch me, but not listen or perceive anything, just feeling sorry, just hating myself. And that leading man was on the screen, so he managed to catch my attention, I guess. It was an interview show. This leading man had left the industry for a long time; I only found out then that he agreed to come back to act in a movie for a close producer. That movie was very famous too. But back then, I was just stuck with..." Sky didn't say it, but one could guess who he meant.
"Mhm, that's it. The host asked what happened during the time he was gone, and he answered that it was because he had problems with love, a breakup so severe it almost destroyed his life. The host asked again how he managed to stand back up. His answer is something I still remember until now." The youth raised a hand to wipe the tears that were falling again.
"If I don't love myself, then how sad would the people around me who love me be? If one person makes my life crumble, how would I face my family?"
Sky sobbed even harder, as if making up for the previous time when he hadn't cried at all.
"That's when I saw. I saw how worried my Phô was about me. My Phô kept apologizing to me for breaking up with my Mâe, apologizing for letting me see them argue, apologizing for me not having a Mâe. My Phô tried to do everything he thought was good for me. He sent me to study in Bangkok so I wouldn't see him and my Mâe arguing about dividing marital property. That's when I knew, if I still hated myself, how sad would my Phô, who gave me life and raised me, be?" Sky cried, sobbing and hiccuping.
"I didn't get back up immediately, but I paid more attention to myself, studied harder, cut everything away, thought that everything I did was for the people who truly loved me, not that shit-lizard who saw me as a toy."
Phra Phai held the slender body tightly, shaking his head back and forth, feeling incredibly sorry for his loved one. Just thinking that the other had to stand up again by himself, amid such terrible events, unable to tell anyone what happened, made him feel tormented on his behalf, almost going crazy. He could only repeatedly press kisses onto his temples over and over.
Until Sky was the one to push against the broad chest lightly and prop himself up to look at his face.
"Phîi Phai, can I really love you?"
The question made Phra Phai really want to kill that shit-lizard. Ugh! Calling it a shit-lizard is still feeling sorry for the shit-lizard that has to be called the same as that hell-spawn!
But the young man said through his tears.
"Of course. Love me, because I only love Sky."
Sky smiled at him. That was the smile Phra Phai wanted to preserve for as long as possible.
And his youth said...
"I love you too, Phîi Phai."
That alone was enough to make this heart feel full.
Phra Phai promised he would take the best care of this youth!
